WordCloudSpark is a free word cloud generator. Paste in text, pick a shape and colour theme, and get a presentation-ready word cloud in seconds, with no account and no watermark on your downloads.

How it works

The tool counts how often each word appears in your text and draws the more frequent words larger. Common filler words such as "the" and "and" are ignored so that the meaningful words stand out; that filler list is English only, and the home page says so. Accented letters are counted as letters, so text in other languages works.

What a word cloud can and cannot show

A word cloud shows frequency, not meaning. It is good for a quick look at the themes in an essay, a set of survey answers or a speech, but it cannot tell you whether a word was used positively or negatively. The home page has tips on choosing a shape and colours, and on cleaning your text first.

Privacy and cost

Everything runs directly in your browser, so the text you enter is not uploaded to a server or stored anywhere. The site is supported by display advertising so that it can stay free to use.
